Scheduling-
After placing your order, you will be contacted within 1-2 business days to confirm your order.
Site Prep
While we are prepared to do most of the work, we do ask for a few things to be completed prior to arrival.
- Unless you live in an area where professional contractors are required to pull the permits, members can pull their own building permits. We can provide the drawings to assist with this.
- Choose a build site that is free from trees, shrubs, or other debris.
- Ensure that the build site is level within 6 inches. Your installer will level up to 6 inches at no additional charge. If your site is out of level by 6 inches but is under 18 inches, we offer a leveling package for an additional charge.
- Our sheds are installed on-site. We require a 3 foot wide clear path to the building site and 3 foot clearance around and above the building site.
- You’ll need to provide access to electricity within 150 feet of the unit. If this is not possible, you will be charged a $100 generator fee.
Day of Delivery
- You’ll be contacted the morning of the scheduled installation and delivery date.
- An installer will review the work order before installation begins.
- On-site installation for most sheds can be completed within one or two days. Your installer will arrive with the wood pre-cut and pre-primed, minimizing disruption to your day and your landscape. Larger and/or more complex sheds will require additional days, yet still provide minimal disruption.
- Your installer will review your structure with you before departing. Any final questions you have can also be answered at this time.
Maintenance
- Painting your shed is essential to extending the life of your shed. To maintain the shed’s warranty, you must paint it within 30 days of installation. Our sheds do not come painted, but the exterior walls are factory-primed and ready for you to paint.
- Like your home, your new shed will require occasional maintenance to ensure many years of use and a valid warranty. In addition to re-painting every few years, you should perform other routine maintenance:
- Keep all grass and vegetation trimmed around the entire perimeter of the shed.
- Do not mound soil or mulch against the siding.
- Do not stack anything against the exterior of your building, such as firewood.
- Locking doorknobs or levers should be sprayed with silicone or other lubricants to maintain the locking mechanism and prevent freezing in cold climates.
- Do not let sprinklers spray your building.
